Shem has practiced architecture for more than 24 years, and has completed dozens of club projects at 10+ separate private clubs. During that time, he has developed a deep understanding of this unique project type and what it takes to make club projects succeed. Shem is experienced with leading committees and stakeholders through a collaborative process and building member support for major projects. His excellent communication skills and technical expertise has driven many of Deca’s most successful projects. Shem specializes in renovation and remodel work, and his encyclopedic knowledge of zoning and building codes have helped many projects navigate difficult regulatory challenges.
